About The Red Lion

A warm welcome awaits in the heart of the Cotswolds

History and character

Originally built as a coaching inn in 1748, this Grade II listed free house is located in the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With tales of witches in the village and a nearby prehistoric stone circle, known as the Rollright Stones, Long Compton is a popular destination for historians and tourists alike.
